Back to School

On the National tonight, they had a segment where they showed the "spinners" for each of the parties what it's like to be a journalist, giving them their own little journalism school.

The Liberal participant was Susan Murray. Former CBC radio reporter Susan Murray.

I don't know about you, but that sure seems like bullshit to me.

  • This coming from the lady that crossed from the fifth estate into politics because of Scott Brison.

That's fine, but what the hell is she doing as a mouthpiece for the Liberals. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a poll that she would rate amongst the lowest.

I like some of the Conservatives pundits like Goldy Hyder and Geoff Norquay, but Jamie and that other NDP guy are good.. the Bloc are usually good for a laugh.

Mike what's his name for the Liberals is barely passable, but every other hack they stick on the air makes me want to throttle them. I'm pretty sure if they were spokespersons for the NDP/Conservative/Bloc, I would at some point come to the same conclusion.

  • This 'back to school' stunt by the cbc was supposed to be a "spin" on the news...
I don't know about you, but Susan Murray's peice looks just like every cbc news peice. I couldn't tell the difference.

  • Susan Murray's comments just show how desperate the liberals are. They are in panic mode. When I saw her react this morning, I knew the game was up for them. Thanks for mentioning my thing on bourque and I just wanted to mention I am also a loyal reader of the Calgary Grit. This is a great site and it has been a constant source of info throughout this election for Dalhousie University students like myself.

  • I think that they should send Paul to leader school, Headmaster the Right Honourable Jean Chretien

Maybe they could send John Duffy to spin school, under the tutelage of Professor Warren Kinsella

Maybe they could send David Herle to campaign manager college, under the joint teaching of David Smith and John Rae (oh wait a second, Herle already told us that after this election we would forget all about those guys because of the inspiring campaign he would run LOL)

  • Susan Murray is the horse's ass and my apologies to horses!

  • I thought Frances Ryan did a great job for the Conservatives. She is a young staffer in Gordon O'Connor's office and was very credible as a "journalist" except that her pro-Liberal spin was probably not enough to get her a job with the CBC.

Perhaps you were thinking about the Fourth Estate, or maybe it was a Fifth Column. Either way it seems to fit.

  • I would like to say that without definitive practice each and every student will not be able to uncover a wide variety of sources on a suggested theme at university. Only those who will use our custom writing services will get essay help from Bestsamplepapers.com done in accordance to absolutely correct educational standards and theories. That means a lot as it gathers consistent materials for the future reference.
