Resistance is Futile

Wow. Holy Crap. Absolutely stunning. I really did not see that one coming.

I really have no clue what this means. I don't think anyone does. However, I am prepared to offer a preview of today's question period in another round of virtual QP.

The honourable member from Central Nova

Peter MacKay: Mr. Speaker, my question is for the Human Resources Development Minister. Belinda...I thought we had something...how can you do this to me?

  • The Speaker: I'm afraid I must rule the question out of order. The deputer Opposition leader is aware that he may not refer to Members by their proper names.

Nor are epithets such as "bitch" or "traitor" acceptable substitutes.

However, "Sith Lady," "Hillary," "lapdog," "Messalina," "Jezebel," and "Brutus" are still considered parliamentary. The member for Central Nova.

  • Peter is wondering if there was something to that pillow talk: "Pete, which comes first, me or the Party?"

And he's thinking he should have answered differently.

  • vuorinen; Next to none right now. I mean, the Conservatives might have been willing to take a chance on Belinda despite her lack of french, experience and ability, because she was seen as a moderate voice. I think Brison is ahead of her on the "Conservatives vying for Liberal leadership" chain so I can't imagine her following Martin.

Maybe down the road if she performs well in Cabinet, she'd be seen as a legitimate shot, but I'd be surprised if she even runs next time around.

"You don't know the power of the Desmarais."

Seriously, the only reason she was competitive for the Conservative leadership was her father's money. She can just as easily be competive in the Liberal leadership for the same reason.

  • Let's see:
Backstabbing, self-serving, opportunistic, over-reaching, under-achieving, money grubbing, power freak.
Yep. She fits right in with the libranos.
