Coyne Leaks Tory Platform

Coyne had a thoroughly entertaining Saturday column.

My only problem with his proposal is that many Conservatives are going to have arguments about what constitutes a gift. Does a "gift" begin at purchase or does it only become a gift once it's given?

  • I was fooled at first, but Coyne's idea actually does have merit, with a few tweaks I posted there.

  • Yeah, this was indeed pretty hot stuff. I thought he was losing it, but still sorta with a point, til the very end.

  • Grit,

You would need to fill out the proper forms, adminstrated by Service Canada, and submitted to your local CRA office to demostrate it was in fact given as a gift and not used in some sort of illegal black martket barter system to qualifiy as a "gift".
