Charest wins majority!

You know, a lot of people in the PQ probably thought they lost the last election solely because of Andre Boisclair.

Perhaps the problems were far more deeply rooted than that, eh?

  • Execuse me if the parallel was obvious to everyone else:

You know a lot of people in the Liberal Party of Canada thought they lost the last election because of Stephane Dion.

Perhaps the problems are far more deeply rooted than that, eh?

  • Well, Mike, I think it was obvious to many, especially to Calgary Grit, who has written about it.

Good point though. Worth remembering that the PQ isn't too badly off; they can probably snipe quite well against Charest from their current position. If only the Federal Liberals were as well off.

  • I dunno, if those Quebec Solidaire votes went PQ they would nearly have tied in the popular vote.

  • Is Mario going to run as a Conservative in the next federal election?

  • I'm with hoser to hoosier.

The excitement level in the room during Ms. Marois's speech last night was incredible.

It seemed like they were chanting We're #2 and thinking that was great.

I'm glad M. Charest led his party to a majority but I don't think we witnessed any whithering of the PQ as some were writing about earlier in the campaign.

  • Quick, get Super Mario 100 Loons!

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. Looks like the PQ isn't leaving either. Well, luck to Charest!

  • My guess is Mario goes federal at this point. It would be the logical jump.
