You know Harper's serious about the economy...

In uncle Steve's latest "fireside economy chat" commercials, he has ditched the sweater vest for a suit jacket.

    He has some confirming news on his side at least. Canada is rated as having the world's soundest bank system. He should talk more about that because Canadians LOVE being ranked first in things by NGO's.

    He’s been trying so hard to talk Canada into a recession in the hope of boosting his own electoral chances. But then came the International Monetary Fund saying that Canada’s economy was sound and would outshine all other G7 countries in 2009, and now we learn that Canada also has the “soundest banking system” in the world.

    Oui, Monsieur Dion, at least you can use your tears to put out the fire that’s burning your pants … get it?
