John McCain raised as much money in 11 hours on Friday as the Liberal Party has raised in the past year.

These kinds of comparisons are always a little humiliating, aren't they? Obama raises more money while he's sleeping that the Conservatives do in a month.

You have missed the point entirely. McCain has been a horrible fundraiser for the entirety of the campaign and Obama actually makes more while he sleeps than McCain does 24-7.

The point: if McCain sucks, the Liberals are even worse and are in desperate need of help

Pssh, like leadership means anything for this.

The Liberals need to completely redesign their fundraising strategy; that Victory thing aside, they're going to keep on getting slapped around as long as the Conservatives have millions to define them before they get to.

It's partly a question of leadership -- people rally around (and donate to) leaders of strength and personality.

Not sure if Dion and Harper qualify.
