The Real Question

Now that the election is done, we can get back to discussing issues which all Canadians care about. Namely:

Is there anyone out there who likes the new CBC graphics and intro music for their news shows?

  • LOL, at least they're moving forward on their graphics. Only two more moves until we get a more sincere rip off of BBC's look.

  • I do.

But that's the point isn't it? Please their new Conservative overlords.

  • I hear more changes are afoot as well. CBC's new public affairs show starting this spring? The O'Mansbridge Factor.

  • That's way too funny. We were just talking about that last week. I don't know anyone that watches the CBC that hasn't commented on that. It used to act as a sort of alarm for me if I was preoccupied.

  • I spend too much time watching CTV..keep waiting for Duffy to reach over and eat someone!!

  • I think the questin should be does anyone WATCH CBC. It is a hopeless excuse for radio/tv media.

  • What happened to the National's theme music??? That was great. Its a Canadian institution. I miss it. Let's start a campaign to bring it back.

The real question is did anyone guess the "Mystery Insider"? I seriously thought that it was WK. Was surprised it was Rick Anderson. Sadly this was for me when of the more interesting notes of the campaign.

  • I think it should be sold to purely private ownership. So who cares?

I'm curious whether CBC will pick up this shocker. The Iraqi WMD are in Syria.

  • Is Harper responsible for West Wing being axed?? Or is it just a rumour?

  • The National intro music is the one that really annoys me. I'm not big on the new graphics and stuff, but I demand my old National theme song!

  • Can we please first get rid of Promo Girl and The Voice before we deal with these other matters? Let's get our priorities straight.

  • Oh, AMEN! The awful 80's synth of the CBC news intro music. I'm glad someone else noticed!

  • This is a CP article about Stephen Harper's press conference posted about an hour ago. One quote:

"With a startling efficiency quite foreign to his predecessor, Canada's soon-to-be 22nd prime minister set about meeting the national news media - and by extension the Canadian electorate - in the foyer of the House of Commons."

You should really STOP! and read the entire article to get a good grasp of the organization, direction, and pace the Stephen Harper government is setting. I found it quite remarkable.

  • Strombolopolous for The National!

    Wait...that would suck.

The Hour for The National Slot!

    That's better.

  • I miss the old days of the CBC, before they started their corny quest for the younger demographic with their Strombolopoalasyllables and thier ridiculous "Your Turn" segments.

To be fair, I think they still have some excellent foreign correspondents, but things have gone down hill.

  • The CBC has turned into a BBC and TV5 wannabe.

Newsworld is worse. The Hour is MuchMusic celebrity and NDP garbage.

    Watch CTV and CPAC instead.

  • Yeah, but the weather girls after the National are nice ...

    "Thank you Peter ..."

  • This election proved that the MSM CBC CTV GLobe are out of touch with Canada. If the vote was held in just Van, T.O and Montreal the only MSM strongholds it would have been 258 Liberals and 50 NDP. Like the Liberals the MSM does not repesent Canadian values they only represent inner city Liberal values.
