Calgary Grit Live

I was on the Michael Coren Show's blogging panel this Tuesday - also representing the left was Big City Lib, with Fildebrandt representing the right, and Strictly Right providing a voice for those who feel Sarah Palin's a commie.

You can watch the full video here.

  • Tell, me is the Pilsbury Doughboy with the crew cut and ill-fitting suit as abnoxious in person as he is on line or on TV?

  • He's early 20s, no girlfriend (which Coren brought up but didn't make the final cut). He is actually like that offstage. I actually argued Darwinism with him for 30 seconds or so.

  • Heh, nice "population control" comment.

Glad to see Coren didn't give you a pass on it.

And I dunno if I am seeing double, but there were two doughboys sitting at that table. One of them should learn to tone down his collars and tie a windsor knot.

  • Since when are you and BCL on the "left." I'd maybe grant you centre-left (especially with respect to Coren), but there is definitely a large chunk of the Canadian political spectrum missing from that definition.

  • I agree with Ian - you ain't left.

Get Buckdog. He makes Marx look like Palin.

P.S. Why all the fat jokes? I'm surprised to hear people go there.

  • "Left" was more relative...

  • Jim - yup, definitely misspoke there. What I was going to get at before getting jumped on was that contraception/etc is important given all the poverty, overpopulation, and health problems facing Africa. And if you're going to fund contraception, you shouldn't just ignore abortion.

But it obviously didn't come out that way. My bad.

  • Oh my god, there is a great deal of worthwhile data above!
