Political Discourse

I'm not sure if Ignatieff or the media are more to blame for this, but it's a little sad that after Ignatieff finally responds to the clamouring for him to speak, all we get out of it is an election speculation story.

  • Nuh-uh, with this weather Ignatieff can finally unleash the gale force power of his intellect... probably towards playing Monopoly with Zsuhana and John McCallum, but I bet he often wins.

  • "I have always tried to work with the government, trying to put the country first, but it's getting tougher and tougher, and that's all I'll tell you right now," Mr. Ignatieff told CTV News Channel.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Liberals last support the Conservatives on a confidence motion very shortly before Parliament adjourned for the summer? So how exactly can it be "getting tougher and tougher to work with the government" during a time period when he's not working with them at all? :)

  • Invisible Hand - EI reform is a start. Where's Lisa Raitt - isotopes, how about the swine flu issue?

Harper must be getting worried - I received my 21st Con MP ten percenter for this year (mid-Jan to today). Yup, "21" paid for by taxpayers.

Question - who would you vote for

    (now this is different)

Harper, Ignatieff, Layton and for the first time May.

So, Harper is also polling on taxpayer monies.

Thought we were in a recession? He's pretty free with our money wouldn't you say?

  • Ignatieff has been "thinking thoughts" this summer?

Has anything changed on any of those fronts since Ignatieff last voted to keep Harper in power?

PS- All the parties use that ten percenter exploit, so the opposition seriously needs to stop pretending to be innocent.
