For those keeping track
-During provincial or municipal elections
-Christmas...or any religious holidays
-Summer
-Winter
-Economic downturns
-Until Judge Gomery reports
Consulting my calendar, there will be a short window of opportunity of an election in May of 2011, and I hope we take it, because the next acceptable election date after that won't arrive until November 2053.

Actually, November 2053 is out because that's during the aforementioned winter.
In reality the next possible election date would be September 3966.

No anonymous, November 2053 will be ok, because we won't have winters by then, due to global warming.

I would add to the list no elections during economic upturns - you don't want to take a chance on upsetting the momentum.

On the plus side, if we miss our 2011 window, Harper will get to see his GHG reduction plan run its course to completion to 2050. What better accountability could we ever want?

Federal elections may also not occur between the fixed election dates your own party put into law to show how committed you and your party are to accountable, representative, and responsible government.
Elections are also verboten if you cry on the GG's lap and whine that the other parties are not playing fair by teaming up together
But these don't really matter if you just claim to be more 'moral' and 'grassroots' oriented than any other party

May 2011 would mean election season includes Victoria day, and that some voters would still be hung-over if the vote was too close to 2-4 weekend.

Only a Liberal would forget to mention that you can't have elections while the farmers are harvesting. ;)

It won't work in reality, that's exactly what I consider.
