Daily Dose

Without a doubt, the Daily Show is the funniest thing on TV right now. With the US election on the horizon, everyone should check their TV Times and set their VCRs Monday thru Thursday because it is truly biting, hilarious politcal satire at its best.

You can get a good sense of the show in this interview Jon Stewart did with Amazon.com. Among the highlights:

Amazon.com: What would a Kerry administration mean?
Stewart: JOHN KERRY PLANS TO RAISE TAXES ON OUR TROOPS IN ORDER TO SUBSIDIZE FREE, GAY HEALTH CARE FOR TRIAL LAWYERS AND TERRORISTS.... THEN ABRUPTLY SWITCH TO THE OPPOSITE COURSE.

With a little fine tuning and a bit of work, Rick Mercer's Monday Report could really become the Canadian equivalent of the Daily Show. But until then, the Daily Show remains the best thing on TV. Well, after "Who Wants to Marry my Dad?" of course.

  • I completely agree, I don't watch anything except for The Daily Show on TV anymore. Actually you can watch it on the internet at the Comedy Central website. I actually think though that the best part of the show is Stephen Colbert.... "It's French B*tch...." That makes me laugh everytime I think about it....
