"The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die."

  • Good riddance. Say hi to Mary-Ann, Teddy. You have a lot of 'splainin' to do.

  • @Buh Bye....hater. Get a life.

  • Bue Bye, the man just passed away show some class. The man never attempted to pretend he was perfect but he did his best as an imperfect human being to improve this world.

True... maybe someday we'll all be equally privileged enough to get away with irresponsibility & manslaughter.

  • Well Bush and Cheney got away with the manslaughter of thousands, so I guess anything is possible in this world.

  • We've just gotten through the Ryan Jenkins thing that dominated the media here in Calgary for over a week. Perhaps we lost a future statesman and it shows the impetuousness of youth combined with privilege is often an unfortunate combination.

Although I haven't read a lot about his recent life, I believe Teddy did largely redeem himself by championing worthy causes and, on balance, his life made a contribution to humankind.

  • When I tried to share on facebook there was some unrelated text from an earlier post. Can you fix that CG?

  • What a great commemorative post! Simple and very effective - please, do me when I die!

    That's called necrophilia, isn't it?

Only if the corpse is unwilling. The libido of a Kennedy never dies.

  • @ Buh Bye - Who's Mary Ann? Is there going to be Gilligan's Island reunion in heaven?

  • Mary Jo Kopechne is the lady who died at Chappaquiddick when an impaired Edward Kennedy drove the car that the two of them were riding in into the drink.

  • Traitor, murderer, alcoholic, lover of terrorists, assistant to genocide across SE Asia.

I had a couple glasses of champagne yesterday celebrating his final, and far too late, death. He deserved the death penalty many times over. Still appalled that the Brits never took him or the rest of the NORAID supporting scum out.

Hopefully Mary-Jo is now at peace and Rapey Teddy is in gin-soaked hellfire.

  • One of the greatest men in American History. For those who say terrible things, if you are without sin you do not live on earth. May God have mercy on your soul for the venom you spew after the death of a giving, caring human being.
