Great Moments in Abundantly Obvious Irony
Mike Duffy says some students ‘brainwashed’
Senator Mike Duffy isn’t backing down on his criticisms of the University of King’s College and other Canadian journalism programs, saying he “dared to show a little spotlight on some of the bias in the media.”
Last weekend, Duffy delivered a speech to local Conservatives in Amherst criticizing journalism schools for teaching critical thinking and Noam Chomksy’s book Manufacturing Consent. He also said students aren’t being taught to be fair and balanced.

Great line yesterday by Scott on Power and Politics. Duffy is leading with his chins.

Dear god... I wonder if Duffy is ever going to look in the mirror and realize what a caricature he has become. I've seldom seen anyone so completely sell out a life's good work so quickly and effectively. He seems to want to become the poster child for the old adage about reputation taking a life time to build and only 5 minutes to destroy. It really is sad.

I say this as a proud Islander, and someone who's father grew up with Mr Duffy...
I have never been so ashamed to be represented by a fellow Islander who I once respected. This man's very first act as senator for PEI was to essentially spit on us.
What a farce. Sadly, I used to respect Conservatives as worthy opponents. These days it seems all about how many clowns can be stuffed into the car.
Sheesh.

All the partisans constantly think it's only the other partisans who are "wrong".
It's pathetic - like the new Mike Duffy.

Because it'll make me feel better, I just want to make the point that Mike Duffy is grotesquely fat.

"Fair and Balanced"
"Bias in the media"
Is this Mike Duffy's idea of humour?
What a big fat clown.

Just Speechless
Does this man have any integrity?
It is so sad.
PEI is one of the most beautiful places in Canada.
They deserve better than Duffy.

Sean; What a farce. Sadly, I used to respect Conservatives as worthy opponents. These days it seems all about how many clowns can be stuffed into the car.
Sadly Sean, the Reform Harper is not the conservative party of old who earned respect and his Reform party never will be.
MaKay sold them to the Reform party and the true blue conservative that were left have jumped ship for an other party except a few still with todays Cons who are as sick as their control freak leader.

Marie, over 90% of Progressive Members voted to merge with the Canadian Alliance. I'm not a huge McKay fan but don't give the guy so much credit for something the membership decided.

Also, is the definition of a "true blue conservative" one who doesn't oppose the Liberal Party in any serious way and constantly loses elections?
You can forgive the Reformers of being tired of that model.

You may not like the messenger, but what about the message?

Robert I think you missed the point of Dan's post... he's pointing out
Oh never mind
