If Canada contemplates building "Canberras", trying to force where communities go, one beneficial aspect of climate change is that it will open up some marginal forest for marginal agriculture. The land will likely be too dry for other uses at least in the West. A corridor of land maybe 100km north of the Yellowhead, will be able to provide income and goods that would make new/bigger communities economical. So if SK is to build a grain elevator or dryer, all esle equal it would be better to build the railway branch in central SK than SW SK. For longer term (but soon enough) infrastructures.
Seems it would be a trifle unfair for the SK NDP to start a new Leadership race before the federal race is done - surely one or two of the federal (non-)contenders wouldn't mind taking a run at a provincial crown?

ReplyDelete...and the once mighty Saskatchewan Liberal Party got one half of one percent of the vote - how do you like that wall?
ReplyDeleteCam Broten will be the next leader of the Saskatchewan NDP.

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like there will be any federal NDP leadership candidates from Saskatchewan, so I don't think the overlap will be that big a deal.
ReplyDeleteDL - there's a good chance the Sask Libs will fold as an entity.
ReplyDeleteCam Broten can suck it for what he did to Ryan Meili.
ReplyDeleteBwahaha Ryan Batar really iggyed the Sask provincial Liberals into the ground didn't he.
